In this way, we have produced more than 115 films.<\/p>\n<p>Fiction emerged through the continuity of our documentary work and in the same orientation. In our early years, we produced <strong>Ni con Dios, ni con el Diablo\u00a0<\/strong>(Peru), <strong>Tinpis Run\u00a0<\/strong>(Papua New Guinea) and <strong>Les Enfants du Diable<\/strong>\u00a0(France). In 1994 at the Cannes Film Festival, three films we produced were presented in the Official Selection. Two first films, <strong>Rice people<\/strong>\u00a0by Rithy Panh (Cambodia) in competition Cannes 1994, <strong>Xime<\/strong>\u00a0by Sana N&#8217;Nhada (Guinea-Bissau) official selection Cannes 1994 and <strong>Bab el Oued City <\/strong>official selection Cannes 1994, the fifth feature by Merzak Allouache, a witness to the mounting violence of his native Algeria.<\/p>\n<p>In the same spirit, since 1994 we produced <strong>Flame<\/strong>, by Ingrid Sinclair, first feature from a Zimbabwe filmmaker and\u00a0<strong>Hey\u00a0Cousin!<\/strong>\u00a0by Merzak Allouache, two films selected by Cannes\u2019 Directors\u2019 Fortnight in 1996; <strong>Fools <\/strong>by Suleman Ramadan, first feature by a young black South African filmmaker, which won the 1997 Locarno Festival\u2019s Silver Leopard,\u00a0<strong>Aristotle plot<\/strong>, second film by Jean-Pierre Bekolo a young Cameroun filmmaker, selected by both Toronto and Sundance ; <b>Dance of the wind<\/b>, first film by the Indian filmmaker Rajan Khosa, presented at the 1997 Venice Festival ; <strong>One evening after\u00a0the war<\/strong>\u00a0by Rithy Panh, second film of a trilogy on the generation sacrificed by a particularly cruel interminable war (Cannes 1998 &#8211; Official Selection),\u00a0<strong>The\u00a0Mutants&#8221;<\/strong> by Teresa Villaverde (Cannes 1998 \u2013 Official Selection), <strong>Shadows in the dark<\/strong>\u00a0by Pankaj Butalia (Venice 1999), <strong>Lumumba<\/strong>\u00a0by Raoul Peck (Cannes 2000 \u2013 Directors\u2019 Fortnight),\u00a0<b>April Captains<\/b>\u00a0by Maria de Medeiros (Cannes 2000 \u2013 Official Selection),\u00a0<strong>Pau and his brother<\/strong>\u00a0by Catalan filmmaker Marc Recha (Cannes 2001 &#8211; Competition) ; <b>A part of sky<\/b>, first feature by young Belgian director B\u00e9n\u00e9dicte Li\u00e9nard (Cannes 2002 \u2013 Official Selection),\u00a0<strong>Feathers in the head<\/strong>, first feature by the Belgian filmmaker Thomas de Thier (Cannes 2003 \u2013 Directors\u2019 Fortnight),\u00a0<b>Dear Madame Catherine<\/b>\u00a0by Marc Recha (Cannes 2003 \u2013 Official Selection), Patricio Guzman\u2019s feature documentary <strong>Salvador Allende<\/strong>\u00a0(Cannes 2004 \u2013 Official Selection), <strong>Zulu Love Letter<\/strong>\u00a0by Ramadan Suleman (Venice 2004 \u2013 Official Selection), <strong>Salt of this Sea<\/strong>\u00a0by the young Palestinian Annemarie Jacir (Cannes 2008 \u2013 Official Selection),\u00a0<strong>Salamandra<\/strong>\u00a0by Pablo Ag\u00fcero (Cannes 2008 \u2013 Directors\u2019 Fortnight),\u00a0<strong>Face<\/strong>\u00a0by Tsai Ming Liang, (Off.
