FRANCE
a movie by VINCENT BLANCHET
François Perrin, a violin maker highly reputed for the quality of his work and also for his sense of humour and good cheer, gives birth to an originally shaped viola. We see a step by step account of the instrument’ s construction from the fashioning of the raw wood to, once all obstacles have been overcome, the instrument maker’s joyous burst of laughter greeting the first strokes of the bow.
