“One way ticket” evokes the story of six million Europeans who, between 1830 and 1930 went to populate the lands of Latin America. Basing their scenario on letters, essays, texts and documents, the authors have chosen to recount this saga by creating three entirely fictional characters, the Frenchman Ulysses, the Italian Pietro and the Spaniard Pilar. To illustrate these three destinies, they have gathered accounts, photos, and authentic film archives and fiction film excepts from different periods.
